In feast or famine (Egyptian Chronicles)

After witnessing her mother’s murder, the child Asenath is sequestered in a tower by her overprotective father, the high priest of Egypt’s sun god, Ra. Groomed as a priestess, she believes she is destined to one day heal the land by marrying an Egyptian Pharoah, who will replace the foreign king now seated on Egypt’s throne. But her plans are thwarted when she's presented as a bride to the newly appointed vizier, a Hebrew named Joseph.

Through revelations of treachery, deceit, and conspiracy, Asenath must decide where her own loyalties lie—with the gods of Egypt or with the God of her husband, the foreign Elohim, who demands exclusive worship from his followers. If she gives her life to Elohim, will she be able to fulfill the purpose for which she believes she was created? Or will her beloved Egypt fall to the machinations of evil men?
